MAC Freedom Player of the Week
Samantha Shinkus (DeSales / Fr., G / Frackville, Pa.) led the Bulldogs to a 2-0 record in conference play with wins over Eastern and King’s. Shinkus averaged 20.5 points, eight rebounds, 2.5 assists and 2.5 steals per game. The freshman finished the week shooting 13-for-24 from the field and 11-for-20 from behind the arc. Shinkus scored 20 points with five rebounds, three steals and two assists in a win over Eastern. She then scored 21 points with 11 rebounds, three assists, two steals and one block in a win over King’s.
