MAC Commonwealth Player of the Week
Riley Shields (Alvernia / Jr., P / Lewes, Del.) earns her second conference weekly award of the season, first player of the week honors. The pitcher had a big week at the plate for the Golden Wolves. Shields led Alvernia to a 3-1 week while hitting .533 (8-for-15) and slugging 1.000 with two home runs and a double. The junior finished the week with 10 RBIs and four runs scored. In a series split with Neumann, Shields went 3-for-7 with a double, four RBIs and one runs scored. In a DH sweep over conference foe, Hood, Shields went 5-for-8 with six RBIs, three runs scored and two home runs. The junior also earned two wins from the circle, earning a 1.75 ERA and striking out 11 over 12 innings of work.
