Defensive Player of the Week
Myles Brodie (Alvernia / Fr., CB / Hyattsville, Md.) was responsible for three takeaways against the University of New England. The freshman halted three different drives by New England on Alvernia’s side of the field to keep the Golden Wolves within striking distance. Brodie finished the game with two interceptions, a forced fumble and five tackles. In the first quarter, Brodie intercepted a pass in the end zone to keep the game scoreless. In the second-quarter after a completion, the freshman forced a fumble at the Alvernia 29-yardline that was recovered by the Golden Wolves. Then in the third quarter, Brodie intercepted a second pass at the Alvernia 39-yard line to stop a third drive.
