MAC Freedom Player of the Week
Emily Fernandez (King’s / Jr. / Shirley, N.Y.) earns her second conference weekly award of the season. Fernandez became the first-ever King’s back-to-back No. 1 singles champion at the MAC Individual Championship. The junior won the title in a thrilling three-set victory over Stevens’ Agatha Malinowski, 3-6, 6-2, 10-4. After a first-round bye, Fernandez lost just two games through the semifinals with wins over FDU-Florham’s Nicole DelRosso and Stevenson’s Jenna Skove.
