MAC Freedom Player of the Week
Samantha Shinkus (DeSales / Jr., G / Frackville, Pa.) earns her second conference weekly award of the season. Shinkus was named the 2020 MAC Freedom Women’s Basketball Championship MVP after leading the top-seeded Bulldogs to the 2020 MAC Freedom Title. Shinkus scored a game-high 22 points to go with 10 assists, seven steals and four rebounds in the 78-53 win over King’s in the title game. The junior scored 13 points to go with four rebounds and an assist in DeSales’ 69-54 win over Eastern in the semifinal round.
