MAC Field Athlete of the Week
Nicole Weenink (Eastern / Sr. / Mechanicsburg, Pa.) earns her fourth conference weekly award of the season. Weenink was named the 2020 MAC Women’s Indoor Field Athlete of the Year. The senior won gold medals and was named All-MAC First Team in both the long jump (5.80 meters) and triple jump (12.07 meters). Weenink tied the conference and championship long jump record and then shattered both triple jump records (11.73m) set in 2009. She earned a silver medal and All-MAC Second Team honors in the 4x200-meter relay (1:47.02), and also received a bronze medal and All-MAC Third Team honors in the 60-meter hurdles (9.24). She also finished fourth in the 60-meter dash and fifth in the 200-meter dash.
