MAC Commonwealth Defensive Player of the Week
Ryan Kennedy (York / Gr., D / Arnold, Md.) earns his second conference weekly award of the season. Kennedy tied a program-record with six caused turnovers to go along with four ground balls and a goal in York’s 20-5 victory over Misericordia on Friday night. The fifth-year senior played a big role in holding the MAC Freedom’s top scoring offense to their lowest goal total of the season as York held the Cougars to just five goals on the night. Misericordia entered the matchup having averaged 20.4 goals per game. Kennedy also contributed to the Spartan scoring effort with the third goal of the game after launching a shot from beyond the midfield line.
