MAC Track Athlete of the Week
Esther Seeland (Messiah / Jr. / State College, Pa.) earns her sixth conference weekly award of the season. Seeland re-broke her personal record, the Messiah and MAC outdoor record in the 800-meter run with a time of 2:02.75, shaving half a second off her previous best time. She broke the mark at the Trials of Miles Race in New York City on Friday night. Her time was just a quarter of a second off the mark needed to be invited to the US Olympic Trials at the end of June. Seeland will look to repeat as National Champion in the event next week at the NCAA Division III National Championship, qualifying as the top seed in the event.
