MAC Commonwealth Player of the Week
Jordan D’Ambrosio (Widener / Jr., G / Springfield, Pa.) scored 16 points, including a floating jump shot with 10 seconds left in overtime to lift the Pride to a 67-64 victory over Neumann on Tuesday. Against St. John Fisher, D'Ambrosio led the team with 20 points while shooting 9-for-11 from the field and had five rebounds, three assists and two blocks. In the Pride-Spirit-Honor Tournament, the junior earned a spot on the all-tournament team after she finished the tournament with 35 total points on 14-of-20 shooting from the field with eight rebounds, three assists, two steals and two blocks. In Widener's 87-42 win over Pitt-Bradford, D'Ambrosio scored 15 points on 5-for-9 shooting and had three rebounds and two steals to help the team place third in the tournament.
