Samantha Howe nearly singlehandedly carried Manhattanville to a victory over King's on Saturday, as the junior tossed a five-hit shutout in the circle and also hit the game-winning home run - the first long ball of her career - as the Valiants defeated the Lady Monarchs, 2-0. Howe struck out five in the complete-game win, which lowered her conference-best ERA to 2.04 on the year.
