High School MAC Commonwealth Pitcher of the Week Josh Monturo (Messiah / Sr., P / Bayport, N.Y.) pitched 7.2 innings for the win over No. 9 Rowan on Saturday in game two of the double header. Monturo didn’t record the victory, but was able to keep the Falcons in the game striking out five batters and holding the Rowan offense to a .167 batting average and just one run until the eighth inning. The senior pitcher’s performance was just enough for Messiah to take the lead in the bottom of the eighth inning to earn what became the victory.
