Laura Mathews (Stevens / Sr. / Denville, N.J.) earns her third conference weekly award of the season. Mathews was named MAC Track Athlete of the Year after capturing three gold medals and one bronze during the 2023 MAC Indoor Track & Field Championships. The senior started with her third-consecutive title in the 60-meter hurdles, breaking her MAC Championship time for a second time in the event and tying her overall MAC record with a finish in 8.60 seconds. Mathews collected gold medals in both the 200-meter dash (25.46) and the 400-meter dash (59.14) as well. Her lone bronze medal came in the 60-meter dash as she finished with a time of 7.96.
