Zach Reed (York / Sr., P / Glenville, Pa.) opened the Spartans' three-game MAC Commonwealth series with Albright with a dominating performance in the win over the Lions. Reed twirled seven shutout innings as he scattered five hits with a career-high 10 strikeouts. Reed allowed a lead off single in the top of the first but then retired eight straight including striking out the side in the second. He did not allow more than two runners to reach base in an inning until the seventh.
