MAC Commonwealth Player of the Week
Breana Grim (York / So., G / Wrightsville, Pa.) had a great debut for the Spartans at the 16th Annual Coaches vs. Cancer Classic in York. On Friday night, Grim made her Spartan debut a successful one as she tallied 18 points, grabbed three rebounds, dished out seven assists with three steals and a blocked shot in the semifinal win over Juniata. She was 7-for-9 from the floor, 2-for-3 from three and 2-for-3 from the free throw line. In Saturday's championship game against #20 Mary Washington, Grim led York with 16 points, six rebounds, four assists, and two steals in her 38 minutes of play. She was 6-for-11 from the floor including 4-for-9 from three. Grim was named to the all-tournament team as she finished the tournament averaging 17 points, 4.5 rebounds, 5.5 assists, and 2.5 steals per game. She shot 65% from the floor, 50% from three and 66.7% (2-for-3) from the stripe.
