MAC Commonwealth Player of the Week
Jordan Karmonick (Alvernia / Sr., G / Mahanoy City, Pa.) averaged 13.3 points and eight
rebounds through a 2-1 two weeks for Alvernia. She finished the three games with a 48% field goal percentage and 54% 3-point percentage. She also had eight assists and eight steals through the three games with a +2 assist/turnover ratio. Karmonick capped off the three-game stretch for the Golden Wolves with a highlight reel 4th quarter on December 30th to lead Alvernia to a comeback win over Wilkes. Karmonick finished the afternoon with 22 points, 16 of which game in the final ten minutes against the Colonels. She also had seven rebounds and three assists in the win. Back on December 20th, Karmonick finished with seven points, six steals, and eight rebounds in a win over Thomas at the Daytona Beach Shootout. Karmonick then had 11 points and nine rebounds in a 72-59 setback to a talented Wisconsin-Lutheran. Karmonick’s efforts helped Alvernia improve to 8-3 through 11 games, its best record through 11 games since 2003-04.
