MAC Commonwealth Player of the Week
Jayden Rowe (York / So., G / Downingtown, Pa.) led the Spartans to a pair of wins for the week including giving #21 Hood College their first MAC Commonwealth loss of the year. In the win over the Blazers on Saturday, Rowe poured in a game-high 24 points including 22 in the first half. Rowe added nine rebounds, one assist and a blocked shot in his 34 minutes of play. Rowe
led the Spartans to a ten point halftime lead as he went on a 14-2 run over the final four minutes of the first half. Rowe scored all 14 points on the run as he was 4-for-5 from three and 2-for-2 at the line during the spurt. He was 7-for-17 from the floor and 6-for-14 from three while he hit all four of his free throws. On Wednesday at Albright, Rowe tallied 20 points with seven rebounds, two assists, a pair of blocked shots and one steal in 33 minutes of play. Rowe was
8-for-15 from the floor, 3-for-6 from three and 1-for-2 from the line. For the week, Rowe averaged 22 points and eight rebounds per game. He added three assists and three blocked shots in the two games. Rowe shot 46.9% from the floor and 45% (9-for-20) from three while he also made 5-of-6 from the free throw line.
