Chris Miers (York / Sr., G / Centreville, Va.) led the Spartans to a 2-0 week as the Green and White have now won five straight overall. In the win over #15 Widener, Miers tied his career-high with 23 points as he was 9-for-12 from the field including 3-for-6 from three and 2-for-2 from the line. He also had seven rebounds, three assists and a blocked shot in 30 minutes of play. He followed that up with 20 points and six rebounds in the win over Eastern. Miers was 6-for-8 from the floor and 8-for-9 from the line. He converted six straight free throws in the final 33 seconds of the game to seal the victory. He added two steals and an assist in the win. For the week, Miers averaged 21.5 points and 6.5 rebounds per game. He shot 75% (15-for-20) from the floor, 50% (3-for-6) from three and 90.9% (10-for-11) from the free throw line. He added four assists, two steals and a blocked shot in his 63 minutes of play in the two wins. For the season, Miers is averaging 10.6 points and 4.5 rebounds per game. He is shooting 45.2% from the floor, 38.1% from three and 80.4% from the line.
