MAC Commonwealth Player of the Week
Alyssa Hocker (York / Sr., F / York, Pa.) had a great two games for the Spartans as she extended her double-double streak to four with a pair of efforts for the week. On Wednesday, Hocker was outstanding as she tallied a career-high 27 points to go along with 10 rebounds for her eighth double-double for the year. She was 10-for-19 from the floor including 5-for-10 from three and 2-for-2 from the line. She added an assist and a blocked shot in her 35 minutes of action. Against Alvernia, Hocker had 12 points and 13 rebounds for her fourth straight double-double and her ninth of the year. She added an assist and two steals in her 33 minutes of play. For the week, Hocker averaged 20 points and 11.5 rebounds for the week. She shot 42.1% from the floor, 42.9% (6-for-14) from three and 2-for-2 from the stripe. Hocker is currently tenth in the Commonwealth in scoring (12.0 ppg) and second in the league in rebounding (9.1 rpg). She is also 11th in field goal percentage, third in the league in free throw percentage (80.5%), and seventh in the conference in three point field goals made per game (1.43 pt/gm).
