MAC Commonwealth Pitcher of the Week
Ethan Kennedy (York / Sr., CP / Linthicum Heights, Md.) closed out both of the Spartans wins at #5 Lynchburg this weekend as the Spartans won the series against the defending national champions. In Saturday's win over the Hornets, Kennedy came into the game in the bottom of the eighth with the Spartans clinging to an 8-6 lead. Kennedy allowed a single in the eighth before getting a strikeout and a fly out. He earned his first save of the year as he retired the Hornets in order in the ninth. On Sunday, Kennedy set the Hornets down in order in the ninth after York exploded for a six-run top of the ninth. For the week, Kennedy threw three shutout innings, allowed just a single with two strikeouts and no walks in two Spartan wins.
