MAC Commonwealth Player of the Week
Larry Johnson III (Stevenson / Gr. / Waldorf, Md.) went a perfect 4-0 at No. 1 this past week in the pair of MAC Commonwealth victories over Albright and Alvernia. In Tuesday’s senior day match, Johnson III and Simeon Smith picked up the lone doubles win (8-6) before he overcame a one-set deficit to take his singles match 6-3 and 6-0. At Alvernia, Johnson III and Smith notched an 8-5 win, then he won his first and third singles sets 6-0 and 7-5. This spring, Johnson III has six singles and six doubles wins at No. 1.
