MAC Golfer of the Week
Katie Lapinsky (Alvernia / Jr. / Lancaster, Pa.) had two second place finishes and helped lead Alvernia to two first place finishes in a jam-packed week for the Golden Wolves. Lapinsky averaged an 81.8 over five rounds of golf and four events. Lapinsky finished second at the Bloomsburg Husky Invitational with a round of 80. Lapinsky finished the event with nine pars and a birdie, and Alvernia also took first in the event. Lapinsky also took second on Monday at the Muhlenberg Invitational. Lapinsky finished the round with 10 pars and a birdie, and Alvernia took first in the event. Lapinsky also competed for Alvernia in its home event and helped lead Alvernia to a third place finish. The Golden Wolves also competed in a tough field of competition at the two-day Amherst Invitational Lapinsky carded an 80 and a 76 to take 13th place and help lead Alvernia to a tenth place finish.
