MAC Commonwealth Defensive Player of the Week
Belle Fields (York / Sr., GK / Centreville, Md.) led the #9 Spartans to a pair of MAC Commonwealth wins for the week as York improves to 12-5 overall. Fields began the week by leading York to a 3-1 road win at Alvernia on Wednesday. She allowed a goal on a penalty stroke in the third quarter but kept the Golden Wolves off the board the rest of the match. In the win, Fields became the Spartans' all-time leader in goalie wins with her 42nd career victory for the Green and White. In the shutout win over Albright, Fields made a pair of stops to pick up her school record 26th shutout of her career. For the season, Fields owns a 0.68 goals against average and a 0.855 save percentage with a career-high 71 saves this season. Fields is first in the Commonwealth in goals against average, save percentage and shutouts.
