MAC Commonwealth Defensive Player of the Week
Jake Bono (York / So., GK / Marlboro, N.J.) led the Spartans to another strong week as York went 1-0-1 against a pair of MAC Commonwealth opponents. In Wednesday's 1-1 tie with Widener, Bono made four saves allowing the Spartans to earn the point with the tie. He recorded a pair of second half saves including two point-blank saves against the Pride. On Saturday, Bono registered one save without allowing a goal in the opening 77:20 of the road win over Albright. For the season, Bono is 10-1-4 with a 0.82 goals against average and a .810 save percentage. He has three full shutouts and has been a part of three other clean sheets for York. Bono is first in the Commonwealth in goals against average and first in save percentage
