MAC Defensive Player of the Week
Alexander Cintron (Widener / So., C / Maple Shade, N.J.) would come up big in the 24-21 win over Lebanon Valley on Saturday afternoon. The Maple Shade, N.J. native would register six total tackles, all being solo tackles, force a fumble, and an interception that would ultimately help the Pride win the game. The forced fumble came in the second quarter to allow teammate Nate Brown to recover and set up the Pride on the LVC47. Cintron's interception marked the last play of the third quarter and would help turn momentum as the touchback interception allowed the offense to chew clock on the next series to take a 24-14 lead. Cintron's six tackles and single interception would also be a new season best.
