MAC Field Athlete of the Week
Anna Sawicki (Lebanon Valley / Fy. / East Brunswick, N.J.) was the top collegiate finisher in the pentathlon and second overall with a school record point total of 3,235 topping her previous record of 3,081 from earlier this season at the Scarlet Knight Open. Her converted point total of 3213 points for track size is 17th in the nation, third in the Mid-Atlantic Region, third in AARTFC, and second in the MAC this year. The first-year had career best performances in four of the five events and finished first or second in each one. She started with a career best time of 9.68 seconds in the 60 hurdles to score 773 points. Her time is sixth in the MAC. She then jumped 1.55 meters (5'1") in the high jump to score 678 points. Her mark would be fifth in the MAC behind her season-best height. Sawicki continued with a career-best throw of 10.96 meters (35'11.5") in the shot put to score 592 points. Her mark is eighth in the MAC. She had a career best mark of 4.89 meters (16'0.5") in the long jump to score 530 points. That mark is ninth in the MAC. Sawicki then finished with a MAC qualifying time of 2:32.52 in the 800 meters to score 662 points.
