MAC Commonwealth Player of the Week
Tate Landis (York / Jr., G / Lititz, Pa.) powered the Spartans to two more wins to end the regular season and clinch a share of the MAC Commonwealth regular season championship. In the Wednesday win over Widener, Tate poured in a career-high 24 points , three assists and three steals in his 33 minutes of work. Landis was 8-for-13 from the floor, 7-for-11 from three and 1-for-1 from the stripe. The seven made three pointers were a new career-high for the junior. In the dramatic Saturday win over Hood, Landis had 12 points, five rebounds, four assists, a steal and a blocked shot in 32 minutes of play. For the week, Landis averaged 18 points, 2.5 rebounds, 3.5 assists and 2.0 steals in his 65 minutes of action. He shot 52.4% (11-for-21) from the floor, including 8-for-16 (50%) from three and a perfect 6-for-6 from the free throw line. For the season, Landis is averaging 8.0 points, 3.1 rebounds, 3.0 assists and 1.8 steals per game. He is shooting 37.3% from the floor and 35.3% from three as he has 38 made three pointers.
