MAC Field Athlete of the Week
Ayden Stankus (Lebanon Valley / Sr. / Harleysville, Pa.) had the second-best pole vault mark in the nation on Saturday as he broke a school and facility record at LVC's season-opening Mini Home Meet. The senior cleared a career-best 4.88 meters (16'0) in the pole vault beating his previous career-best height of 4.55 meters (14'11") that he cleared in 2023, and the facility record of 15'3" that Widener's Mick Coleman had in 2013. His mark is second in Division III and first in the Mid-Atlantic Region, AARTFC, and the MAC. He also competed in the long jump where he recorded a mark of 6.49 meters (21'3.5"). His mark is ranked third in the MAC, fifth in AARTFC, and third in the Mid-Atlantic Region.
