Jacob Fripp (York / Jr. / Ricon, Ga.) led the Spartans to a third place finish to open their spring season with a third place finish at the Ruckus Tournament. Fripp earned the individual medalist honors for his first career win. Fripp led the way for the Spartans as he tied for first in the tournament with a two day score of 142. He won the individual title as he shot a two-under-par 70 in the second round, bettering the two players he was tied with at the end of the round. Fripp carded an even-par 72 in the opening round before his Sunday round. Fripp was great down the stretch on Sunday to earn the tournament win as he shot a blistering three-under 33 on his final nine of the weekend. Fripp leads the team in scoring average for the year at 73.75 strokes per round.
