MAC Freedom Player of the Week
Angelina Bresnen (Delaware Valley / 2B, Jr. / Morrisville, Pa.) had a standout performance, powering Delaware Valley to a dominant doubleheader sweep of Penn State Abington with two grand slams and a total of 10 RBIs on the day. In game one, after Penn State Abington took an early lead, Bresnen helped ignite a huge fourth-inning rally with an RBI single that also marked her 100th career hit. Later in the inning, she crushed a grand slam to cap off an 11-run performance for the Aggies, finishing the game with five RBIs. In game two, after PSU-Abington jumped ahead 7-0 in the first inning, Bresnen contributed in multiple ways—getting hit by a pitch, stealing two bases, scoring a run on a double, then belting a solo home run in the fifth to spark a comeback. With the game tied and the bases loaded later that inning, she delivered again, launching her second grand slam of the day to put Delaware Valley ahead for good. She also recorded a total of three stolen bases in the second game.
