MAC Commonwealth Player of the Week
Lucas Prendergast (York / 2B, Jr. / Bridgeton, N.J.) led the Spartans in a five-game week including a MAC Commonwealth series win over Stevenson. He hit .389 with five runs scored, a double, three home runs, and nine RBIs in 18 at-bats for the week. Prendergast was 2-for-4 with a run scored, a home run, and two RBIs in the series finale against top-seeded Messiah on Monday afternoon. He followed that with a 1-for-3 performance with a run scored and a walk against Lebanon Valley in a Tuesday non-conference matchup. On Friday at Stevenson, Prendergast was 1-for-4 with a run scored and an RBI in the Spartan win over the Mustangs. On Saturday in game two of the series, Prendergast led off the bottom of the first with a line-drive home run to right as he finished 1-for-3 with a run scored, an RBI, and a walk. In game two, he was 2-for-4 with a run scored and a season-high tying four RBIs. He hit his third home run of the week and his team-leading 15th double in the game.
