MAC Freedom Pitcher of the Week
Blair Shaffer (Lebanon Valley / P, Gr. / Lititz, Pa.) pitched seven scoreless innings across two relief appearances and earned a win and a save with six strikeouts in two conference games. He began the week with four strong innings of relief with four strikeouts and just one hit and one walk allowed to earn the win in an 11-7 victory at King's. Shaffer entered the game in the fourth inning with LVC leading 8-3 and shut down the Monarchs for four innings facing just one batter over the minimum. The graduate student finished the week with a three-inning save in LVC's 13-4 victory at FDU-Florham where he struck out two and allowed just one hit and a hit-by-pitch. Shaffer faced just two batters over the minimum over the final three innings.
