In her first collegiate meet, Danisha Higgs placed fourth in the 55 meter dash, and first in the 200 meter dash. Her time of 26.63 seconds in the 200 was a mere 8 hundredth of a second off from matching the all-time program record. Her time of 7.60 seconds in the 55 was just 6 hundredth of a second off from match the school record. She also competed on the 4x200 relay team and helped the Lady Lions record a 7th place finish.
