MAC Track Athlete of the Week
Hailey Shreffler (Eastern / Sr. / Nesquehoning, Pa.) had another strong showing on the track for Eastern at the Hopkins/Loyola Invitational on Saturday. The senior placed first in the 800 meter (2:12.3) with a two-second season best. Shreffler beat Division I opponents and other national qualifiers from DIII. She won the event by over two seconds and set both the fastest time in the MAC yet this year and the second-best mark in the region. Shreffler is now ranked 21st in the event in all of NCAA DIII. She also ran a 60.8 split on the 4x4 that ran 4:11.
