Varner turned in a dominant showing at the Nazareth Challenge Cup. She won the shot put with a personal-best mark of 13.68 meters, the top throw in the region this season and 10th nationally. Varner also captured the weight throw title with a personal-best toss of 16.02 meters, breaking the program record and ranking second in the region.
