Gettysburg College
Arif Husain proved to be a true Bullet with his outstanding speed. A National Champion and eight-time All-American sprinter, Husain was a four-time MAC Outstanding Athlete winning nearly 100 races during his career. Between his junior and senior year at Gettysburg, he competed for his native Pakistan in the 100 and 200 meter dash at the 1992 Barcelona Summer Olympics. Husain’s college coach, Ed Riggs says, “The current athletes hold him in awe, not only because of his accomplishments, but also because of his genuine sincerity and respect for others. He was, and continues to be, an inspiration for all who believe in working hard for their goals.”
