An All-American in 1957 and 1958, Guy Rodgers was Temple’s all-time leading scorer with 1,767 points in his career (now 7th place). Temple compiled a 74-16 record from 1955-1958 also known as the “Guy Rodgers Era.” Rodgers led the Owls to third place finishes in NCAA Tournament in 1956 and 1958. Following his time at Temple, he toured with the College All-Stars against the Harlem Globetrotters and eventually played for the San Francisco Warriors, Chicago Bulls, and Cincinnati Royals. Rodgers was inducted into the Philadelphia Big 5 Hall of Fame in 1973.
