Kate Corcoran, DeSales University
Basketball – Class of 2000
Kate Corcoran was a standout on the DeSales women’s basketball team from 1996-00 in which the Bulldogs won three conference championships and made three trips to the NCAA Tournament. She was named to the All-Freedom Conference First-Team (1999, 2000), was named the Lehigh Valley Association of Intercollegiate Athletics for Women (LVAIAW) Player of the Year (2000), was named to the WBCA Mid-Atlantic Region First-Team (2000), and WBCA Honorable-Mention All-American (2000). Corcoran is still ranked among the DeSales all-time leaders in three-pointers made (143 – 3rd) and steals (243 – 5th). Corcoran went on to have stints as an assistant coach with Ursinus College, Cabrini College, and PSU-Berks. While at Cabrini she also served as the Assistant to the Athletic Director and facilities director where she moved on to PSU-Berks serving as the Senior Woman Administrator, Compliance Officer, and Sports Information Director until 2010. She now works at Rosemont College as the Assistant Director of Athletics and Senior Woman Administrator.
