Ned Linta coached cross country from 1960-1964 and 1966, track & field from 1960-1966, and golf from 1965-1982. Serving as Director of Athletics from 1959 to 1973, Linta was a key figure behind Delaware Valley College joining the Middle Atlantic Conference in 1966. He also saw the addition of five varsity sports during his AD tenure: cross country, golf, tennis (later dropped in the mid 1970s), track and field (which returned after nearly a 40-year hiatus) and wrestling. The Ned A. Linta Hall of Fame Scholarship is named in his honor.
