Elizabethtown College's only national champion in wrestling to date, Eric Mast won the 118-pound weight class at the 1974 NCAA Division III Championships as a freshman, and repeated the feat as a senior in 1977. He won his weight class in the College Division of the Middle Atlantic Conference championships in 1974 and 1977, also being named the MAC Most Outstanding Wrestler in 1977. Mast ranks second in school history with 115 career wins (115-10-1). After winning MAC and NCAA DIII titles in 1974, Mast competed in the NCAA University Division Wrestling Championships, where he advanced to the third round and upset top-seed Tom Phillips of Oregon State. Mast was inducted into the Division III Wrestling Hall of Fame in 1991 and named to the MAC Wrestling Century Team for the 1975-84 era.
