Widener’s Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC) showed its latest demonstration of goodwill by holding a fundraiser for the Make-A-Wish Foundation.

The organization recently sold Widener Pride magnets and raised $4,480, well above the $500 each school in the Middle Atlantic Conference agreed to raise. All proceeds will be given to the Make-A-Wish Foundation.

Widener’s SAAC, led by women’s lacrosse coach Robin Baxter, has made an invigorating effort toward working with community projects and building leadership through athletics and the University. The SAAC also plays an active role outside the University, participating in events with other schools in the Middle Atlantic Conference to offer input on the rules, regulations and policies that affect student-athletes' lives.
