2016-17 All-MAC Commonwealth Men’s Basketball Team Announced

ANNVILLE, Pa. (Men’s Basketball) – The 2016-17 All-MAC Commonwealth Men’s Basketball Team has been announced. Alvernia’s senior Marquis Marshall was named MAC Commonwealth Player of the Year, and Stevenson’s freshman Cameron Hayes was named MAC Commonwealth Rookie of the Year. Widener’s Chris Carideo was named MAC Commonwealth Coach of the Year for the second time, first since 2009.
 
The All-MAC Commonwealth Men’s Basketball Team is nominated and voted on by the nine conference men’s basketball coaches.
 
Joining Marshall (forward) on the All-MAC Commonwealth First Team were: guards David Johnson (Lycoming), Sam Light (Lebanon Valley) and Sardayah Sambo (Widener); and forward Andy Orr (Lebanon Valley)
 
Named to the All-MAC Commonwealth Second Team were: guards Scott Bolen (Hood), DeJuan Smith (Albright) and Sam Smith (Widener); and forwards Josh Clippinger (Messiah) and Chris Wallace (Lycoming).
 
Three players were named All-MAC Commonwealth Honorable Mention, including guards Hayes, Omari Ringgold (Albright) and Josh Scott (Arcadia).
