ANNVILLE, Pa. (Women’s Basketball) – The 2016-17 All-MAC Commonwealth Women’s Basketball Team has been announced. Stevenson’s senior Sara Tarbert was named MAC Commonwealth Player of the Year for the second-straight season. Widener’s freshman Devan Rimmer was named MAC Commonwealth Rookie of the Year. Albright’s Janice Luck was named MAC Commonwealth Coach of the Year for the third-straight season, fourth overall.
The All-MAC Commonwealth Women’s Basketball Team is nominated and voted on by the nine conference women’s basketball coaches.
Joining Tarbert (forward) on the All-MAC Commonwealth First Team were: guards Kaitlyn Hoff (Messiah), Alysha Lofton (Albright) and Hilary Yoh (Lebanon Valley); and forwards Gillian Glackin (Messiah) and Shelby Mueller (Lycoming),
Named to the All-MAC Commonwealth Second Team were: guards Maureen Fiocca (Arcadia), Allison Gallagher (Widener), Jane Joyce (Albright), Nina Mazzarelli (Albright) and Maci Thornton (Messiah).
Five players were named All-MAC Commonwealth Honorable Mention, including guards Jonaye Curry (Stevenson), Rimmer and Shannon Thomas (Albright); and forwards Dajah Gee (Hood), Lexie Lantz (Lebanon Valley) and Alecia Rohrer (Messiah).
