ANNVILLE, Pa. (Conference News) – The Middle Atlantic Conference (MAC) has announced its conference weekly award recipients for the week ending Feb. 21, 2021. A total of nine student-athletes were recognized for performances from Feb. 15-21, 2021.
MEN’S BASKETBALL (#MAChoops)
MAC Commonwealth Player of the Week
Zach Tucker (Lebanon Valley / Sr., G / Sykesville, Md.) netted a game-high 18 points in Lebanon Valley's 68-61 win over Delaware Valley to keep the Dutchmen perfect at 3-0. Tucker went 6-for-10 from the field, a perfect 3-for-3 from beyond the arc and 3-for-4 from the charity stripe. He added five rebounds, a pair of steals and an assist for LVC.?
MAC Freedom Player of the Week
Drake Marshall (Wilkes / Jr., G / Gainesville, Va.) led the Colonels to a 1-1 week against Arcadia while averaging 23 points, 7.5 rebounds, three assists and 2.5 steals per game. Marshall capped the weekend with 35 points on 12-for-17 (71%) shooting in a 97-93 overtime victory. The junior added four rebounds, four assists, two steals and a block in the win. Marshall opened the series recording a double-double with 11 points and 11 rebounds. He also had three steals and two assists.
WOMEN’S BASKETBALL (#MAChoops)
MAC Commonwealth Player of the Week
Leah Springer (Messiah / Gr., F / Camp Hill, Pa.) led the Falcons to a 2-0 week against Stevenson while averaging 18.5 points, seven rebounds, two blocks and two steals. She also shot 62 percent from the field for the week. In a 49-45 win, Spring scored 20 points with 12 rebounds, three blocks and two steals. The forward then went 7-for-10 from the field for 17 points to go with two rebounds, two steals, a block and an assist in a 78-48 win over the Mustangs.
MAC Freedom Player of the Week
Averi Jordan (DeSales / Jr., F / Frackville, Pa.) led the Bulldogs to a pair of dominating wins over FDU-Florham. Jordan averaged 17.5 points per game while playing just 17.5 minutes per game. In a 93-42 win over the Devils, Jordan scored 17 points to go with five rebounds, two steals, a block and an assist. The junior followed that with 18 points in a 90-34 win over FDU-Florham. She finished the week shooting 60 percent (12-for-20) from the field, including 5-for-7 (71%) from behind the arc.

MAC Offensive Player of the Week
Tyler Barrow (Wilkes / Jr., F / Massapequa, N.Y.) was a key part of the Colonels offense in splitting a pair of games versus Utica. In a season-opening home victory, the junior netted the unassisted game-winner to push the Colonels past Utica, 3-2. Barrow recorded a three-point game against the Pioneers in a setback, netting a goal and a pair of assists. He totaled eight shots on the weekend to lead the team.
MAC Defensive Player of the Week
Ryan Kenny (Stevenson / So., G / Sparta, N.J.) made a career-best 41 saves on 42 shots faced to lead the Mustangs to a 2-1 victory over Elmira in his lone start of the weekend.
WOMEN’S ICE HOCKEY (#MAChky)
MAC Offensive Player of the Week
Olivia Cindrich (Lebanon Valley / Jr., F / Carnegie, Pa.) recorded five points on three goals and two assists to help the Dutchmen salvage a point in a series against Neumann. Cindrich recorded two goals and added an assist in a 4-4 draw against Neumann to begin the season. The junior followed that with a goal and an assist in a one-goal setback in game two.
MAC Defensive Player of the Week
Annika Carlander (Stevenson / Sr., G / Saint Louis Park, Minn.) went 1-1 on opening weekend in net, posting a .923 save percentage. Carlander made 27 stops on 28 shots faced in a 2-1 victory on home ice for her 10th career win.
WRESTLING (#MACwrestle)
MAC Wrestler of the Week
Nick Boggiano (Stevens / Fy., 157 lbs. / Toms River, N.J.) earned a pair of victories for the Ducks last week. First, Boggiano topped two-time national qualifier and eighth-ranked Robert Dinger of TCNJ by a 15-3 major decision. Against Messiah, Boggiano scored a 13-6 decision victory over Nick Barhart.
