ANNVILLE, Pa. (Women’s Swimming) – The Messiah Falcons won their seventh Middle Atlantic Conference (MAC) women’s swimming title in the last eight seasons. The Falcons collected 1,117 points with seven gold medals, three silver medals and three bronze medals.
2021 MAC Championship t-shirts will only be available via online order through April 25. For the conference championship, competing teams followed the NCAA three session championship format over the course of two or three days. Multiple sites were used to host the event with individual results compiled to crown individual and team champions.
The top-three finishers in each event earn All-MAC honors (first-place = first team; second-place = second team; third-place = third team).

2021 David B. Eavenson Award (MAC Swimmer of the Year)
Arcadia’s Risa Krauss was named the 2021 David B. Eavenson Award recipient as the MAC Swimmer of the Year. Krauss led the Knights with 91 points. The first year was the only conference swimmer to break a conference record in either gender over the weekend. She broke both the MAC overall and championship records in the 100-yard breaststroke (1:04.00) and 200-yard breaststroke (2:20.56). The previous 100 breaststroke (1:04.16) and 200 breaststroke (2:20.97) records were set a season ago. Krauss took third-place in the 200-yard IM (2:14.10). She was a member of the gold-medal winning 200-yard freestyle relay (1:40.82) and 200-yard medley relay (1:49.19) teams. Krauss was also a part of a second-place finish in the 400-yard freestyle relay (3:42.18).
2021 MAC Rookie of the Year
Messiah’s Sophie Schulze was named the 2021 MAC Rookie of the Year. Schulze led the conference and Messiah with 96 points. She won the 500-yard freestyle (5:14.53), 1,650-yard freestyle (18:12.64) and the 100-yard backstroke (59.82). Schulze was a member of the gold-medal-winning 400-yard medley relay (4:04.08) and 800-yard freestyle relay (8:05.87) teams. She was also a part of the 200-yard medley relay (1:50.84) second-place finish.
2021 MAC Coach of the Year
Katie McComb led the Falcons to their seventh conference title in the last eight seasons. It is her second coach of the year honor with her first coming in 2018.
