ANNVILLE, Pa. (Women’s Basketball) –
The Messiah Falcons were selected as the favorite in the 2022-23 conference preseason poll conducted among the Middle Atlantic Conference Commonwealth (MAC Commonwealth) women’s basketball coaches. The Falcons collected seven of nine first-place votes for a total of 63 points.

Messiah captured the 2022 title with a 69-55 win over Widener to give the Falcons their sixth-straight conference title. Messiah now has 14 conference titles in women’s basketball. The Falcons fell to Springfield in the first-round of the NCAA tournament.
 
The 2022-23 season is set to begin on Tuesday, Nov. 8. The double-round robin conference schedule will begin on Wednesday, Nov. 30.
 
The 2023 MAC Commonwealth Women’s Basketball Championship is set for Feb. 20-25. The top-five seeds will battle for the conference title and the NCAA Division III Championship automatic qualifier (AQ).
