2022 MAC Commonwealth Men’s Basketball Championship Field Announced

ANNVILLE, Pa. (Men’s Basketball) –
The 2022 Middle Atlantic Conference Commonwealth (MAC Commonwealth) Men’s Basketball Championship is set to begin on Monday, Feb. 21 and run through Sunday, Feb. 27. The MAC Commonwealth Champion will earn the conference’s NCAA Division III Championship automatic qualifier (AQ).
 
This year’s tournament field is as follows: 1. Eastern, 2. Hood, 3. Alvernia, 4. Messiah, 5. Stevenson, 6. Widener, 7. Albright, 8. York, 9. Lebanon Valley.
 
The tournament will begin on Monday, Feb. 21 with the single No. 8 vs. No. 9 play-in game. The quarterfinal round will take place Wednesday, Feb. 23 and the semifinal round will take place on Friday, Feb. 25. This year’s championship will conclude with the final round on Sunday, Feb. 27. The higher seeded teams will host each round. All game times will be set by the home team and are subject to change.

In the 2021 shortened season, Albright defeated Lebanon Valley, 82-77, to claim the MAC Commonwealth title. Albright now has 11 conference titles all-time, including three in the MAC Commonwealth since the split in 2000. Widener leads the conference with 15 titles, four during the MAC Commonwealth era. Lebanon Valley has nine overall titles (one MAC Commonwealth) and Alvernia has four MAC Commonwealth titles.

Admission to each round of the championship has the following ticket prices:
  • Adults - $6
  • Senior Citizens - $4
  • Students (valid ID) & Children - $2
  • Pre-school (under 6) with Adult - FREE
