WILLIAMSPORT, Pa. (Wrestling) – The 2022 NCAA Division III wrestling regionals are set to begin this weekend at designated locations. The eight Middle Atlantic Conference (MAC) squads will compete at the Southeast Regional hosted by Lycoming College.
The NCAA Division III Southeast Regional will be held at Lamade Gym on the campus of Lycoming College from Feb. 25-26. Doors open at 9 a.m. on Friday and 8 a.m.on Saturday, with competition starting at 10 a.m. on Friday and 9 a.m. on Saturday. Joining the eight MAC programs at the Southeast Regional will be Averett, Ferrum, Gettysburg, Greensboro, Penn State-Behrend, Roanoke, Shenandoah, Southern Virginia, Thiel, Washington & Lee, Washington & Jefferson, and Waynesburg.
The top-three wrestlers in each weight class will advance to the NCAA Division III Championship on March 11-12 in Cedar Rapids, Iowa (U.S. Cellular Center).
The MAC has 10 wrestlers ranked across seven weight classes in the latest NWCA Division III individual rankings, including:

149: 1. Brett Kaliner (Gr.), Stevens

165: 6. Matt Lackman (So.), Alvernia
184: 14. Colton Babcock (Jr.), Wilkes
285: 13. Connor Fulmer (Jr.), Lycoming
The MAC saw 16 wrestlers qualify for the 2020 NCAA Division III Championship. Stevens claimed the regional title and four MAC wrestlers claimed individual titles. Unfortunately, the national tournament was ultimately canceled due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
The NCAA Division III Championship will be held March 11-12 at the U. S. Cellular in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. The MAC has claimed a total of 30 NCAA Division III individual national titles and one team national title in its history. The conference did not sponsor wrestling from the 2006-07 to 2012-13 seasons, but since the 2013-14 season, the MAC has claimed eight individual national titles and four individual national runner-up finishes.
The MAC had one of its most successful seasons at the NCAA Division III Championship in 2016 when it claimed three national champions, a national runner-up and Messiah finished national runner-up as a team.
