AVCA RELEASE

LEXINGTON, Ky. (Men’s Volleyball) – The American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) announced its 2022 Division III men’s regional awards on Tuesday. Stevens first year Koby Sherman received major honors, and the Middle Atlantic Conference (MAC) was represented by six individuals on the AVCA Division III All-East Region Team.

Outside hitter Koby Sherman was named the AVCA Division III East Region Newcomer of the Year. 

Joining Sherman on the AVCA Division III All-East Region Team were:

Jack Fyda (Stevens), Jr., MB 
Matt Knab (Messiah), Gr., S
Mason Nissley (Messiah), Jr., OH 
Mason Scott (Stevenson), Sr., L

The regional award recipients will move forward in the AVCA All-America voting process. The regional major award recipient will also move forward for consideration for national player of the year awards.
