NEWTOWN, Pa. (Field Hockey) – The 2023 All-MAC Commonwealth Field Hockey Team has been announced.
Stevenson senior forward Emma Gladstein was named MAC Commonwealth Offensive Player of the Year, while Messiah's graduate student defender Nicole Shank and York's junior goalkeeper Belle Fields were named MAC Commonwealth Co-Defensive Players of the Year.
Gladstein had a terrifc season for the Mustangs as she led the conference in goals (17), assists (8), and points (42) during the season.
The Co-Defensive Players of the Year were apart of the top two defenses in the conference. Shank anchored a defense that only allowed 13 goals on the season and pitched nine shutouts. She also added six goals and seven assists for the Falcons. Fields was the last line of defense for the Spartans and posted 11 shutouts on the season. For the year she has 44 saves and has only given up 11 goals while playing the most minutes of any goalie in the conference.
Messiah first year forward Aubrey Clark was named MAC Commonwealth Rookie of the Year. Aubrey was able to make an immediate impact for the top ranked Falcons. She was tied for fourth in the conference with nine goals on the season while also contributing three assist.
Messiah's Brooke Good was named MAC Commonwealth Coach of the Year. Coach Good has led the Falcons to a 17-1 record and MAC Commonwealth Championship. The Falcons will be in action this weekend for the second round of the NCAA Tournament.
The All-MAC Commonwealth Field Hockey Team is nominated and voted on by the eight conference field hockey coaches.
