NEWTOWN, Pa. (Women’s Soccer) – The 2023 All-MAC Commonwealth Women’s Soccer Team has been announced.

York first year forward Meg Kalthof was named MAC Commonwealth Offensive Player of the Year, and Messiah senior defender Jenna Skurcenski was named MAC Commonwealth Defensive Player of the Year.

In her first year of play with the Spartans, Kalthof was able to lead the MAC Commonwealth in goals (11) and was second in assists (5). Her strong play earned her both Offensive Player and Rookie of the Year.

Messiah only gave up eight goals on the season and Skurcenski has played a huge part in limiting opponents scoring.

York's Kalthof and Eastern first year goalkeeper Faith Leake were named MAC Commonwealth Co-Rookies of the Year. In 13 games Leake accumulated 79 saves and only gave up 16 goals for a 83% save percentage.

Messiah head coach Scott Frey claimed his eighth MAC Commonwealth Coach of the Year. Coach Frey led the Falcons to 17-2 record and a Mac Commonwealth Championship. They will begin NCAA Tournament play this weekend against Westfield State University.

The All-MAC Commonwealth Women’s Soccer Team is nominated and voted on by the eight conference women’s soccer coaches.
